Conduit & cable tray run
Set out and mounted strut, cable tray and corrugated conduit across masonry and timber — hammer-drilled and bolted the supports, then ran conduit into junction boxes, saddled and levelled.
Accessories on plasterboard
Marked out and cut a plasterboard board for switches, GPOs, batten holders, mounting blocks and a switchboard enclosure — clean openings, everything square and fixed off properly.
Car amp & sub install
Wired an amplifier and subwoofer from scratch — fused power run from the battery, chassis earth, signal and remote leads routed clear of the power cable to keep noise out, then gains set and tested.
Fabricated my own exhaust
Measured, cut and welded up a twin exhaust from the headers back — tacked and test-fitted on the car to check clearance and alignment before welding it out.
An electrical apprenticeship in Melbourne's south-east, starting now.
